Sherpard Foundation Resource Centre exists so O-Level and A-Level excellence is not reserved for elite institutions.
Our story
Sherpard Foundation Resource Centre is an education initiative and social enterprise in Zimbabwe, dedicated to democratising access to quality secondary education. It began at the height of COVID-19 as a lightweight, data-efficient way to reach learners on their phones.
Digital access could not replace a teacher in the room. The model grew into a hybrid: structured online content plus community revision bootcamps — #EkasiSeminars — in Bulawayo townships such as Cowdray Park.

Vision
An equitable, community-driven educational ecosystem across Zimbabwe where every secondary learner — regardless of socio-economic standing or location — has the resources, mentorship, and analytical tools for tertiary readiness.
Mission
Use accessible digital tools and local revision centres to deliver exam-focused humanities teaching, critical thinking, and character-building mentorship — including ZIMSEC and Cambridge pathways.
How we teach
Low-bandwidth notes, voice notes, and WhatsApp groups so learners can study on a phone, wherever they are.
Analytical essay method for ZIMSEC and Cambridge — historiography, structure, and Section C–style practice.
#EkasiSeminars take specialist teaching into high-density suburbs such as Cowdray Park, Luveve, and Nkulumane.
Accountability against procrastination and exam panic, so learners take ownership of their results.

Leadership
Mr S. Thwala writes syllabus notes, teaches through WhatsApp and YouTube, and converts that work into holiday classes and #EkasiSeminars in Bulawayo. Materials are branded “Powered by Sherpard Foundation Resource Centre.”
The classroom product is not a textbook dump. History lessons are built for essay questions: a clear thesis, immediate and long-term causes, teacher COMMENT boxes, then ZIMSEC-style revision.
